Leisure Systems Inc (LSI) believes there is substantial untapped potential to increase the Jellystone Park franchise network across the United States and Canada. We expect the greatest growth to our system will be from existing campgrounds seeking to improve their competitiveness by becoming affiliated with a nationally recognized and powerful brand. The uniqueness of the Yogi Bear and Jellystone Park trademarks offers a special niche unmatched in the camping industry.

And with the theatrical release of "Yogi Bear" the movie in December 2010 (on DVD March 2011), Yogi has developed a new generation of fans! 

Industry Overview

There are approximately 12,000 campgrounds in North America including 7,500 privately owned and 4,500 operated by the US Park Service or other national or local government organizations. Most campgrounds are relatively small, but there are more than 1,500 parks with over 100 sites. Approximately 500 of these larger facilities are classified as "Camp Resorts". These parks have special amenities including swimming pools, miniature golf courses, game rooms, and other recreational facilities and are designed for longer stays of three or more days. These are the parks we are targeting for possible conversion to the franchise. 

Our research shows us that one American in four - comprising over 70 million people - participates in camping, making it the third most popular recreational activity in the United States. This love for camping crosses all demographics; people of all ages, incomes, cultural and educational backgrounds enjoy camping.

Camping is most often a family activity enjoyed by parents and children under 18 years of age. Senior citizens, sports enthusiasts and others also enjoy camping.  According to industry studies, camping is popular because it is a getaway affordable for nearly the entire population, can be enjoyed with family and friends, and provides an opportunity to be close to nature.

All of these trends bode well for Jellystone Park Camp-Resorts who focus on the family market and create lifetime memories for our guests.
