“All of us here are so excited to host our first ever set of Halloween Weekends in October,” said Sarah Williams, activities director for the 255-site campground. “We have some creative ideas up our sleeves to really make these weekends special.”
These creative activities include pumpkin parties, costume contests, spooky crafts, camper-treating and a scary forest that will include a scavenger hunt.
Jellystone Park Guadalupe River is also planning Superhero Weekend, Sept. 15 – 18, with activities that honor real life superheroes, including police officers, firefighters, paramedics and military personnel and a Casino Royale Weekend, Sept. 22 – 25, with activities such as Candy Bar Bingo.
“We pride ourselves on providing activities for a variety of ages. We want to create great camping experiences for everyone, and believe our activities help do that,” Williams said, adding that Jellystone campers also get to create unique memories with Yogi Bear.
Jellystone Park Guadalupe River also has excellent onsite amenities, including a swimming pool, a jumping pillow and mini golf. The camp-resort also just opened a fun gem mining sluice. Many other improvements are planned, as the park will be getting a lazer tag course within the next couple months and will be installing a water play park during the next 18 months.
