Texas Wine Country Jellystone Completes Expansion With New RV And Tent Sites And A Snack Shack

FREDERICKSBURG, Texas, June 7, 2017 — The Texas Wine Country Jellystone Park™ has completed lots of improvements in time for the summer camping season, including 26 new RV sites, five new rental cabins and a snack shack. A splash pad will also be installed in time for Father’s Day weekend.

“This park just keeps getting better and better,” said park owner Sissy Andrichyn, adding that the additional RV sites and cabin rentals are needed to accommodate the park’s growing business base.

The snack shack is already a hit with menu items that include burgers, hot dogs and chicken fingers as well as Hunt Brothers Pizza, plus a variety of appetizers ranging from fried pickles to jalapeño poppers. The snack shack also offers beer and wine, including peach and strawberry wineritas. Breakfast is also served on Saturdays and Sundays and includes pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage and hash browns.

The park has numerous onsite amenities, including a swimming pool and fitness area; poolside movies with a surround sound stereo system; a jumping pillow; a miniature golf course; volleyball courts; a theater; and an arcade. The park also has a large clubhouse for activities, special events and meetings. A creek runs along the edge of the campground and there are lots of trees and shady areas.

Jellystone Parks are famous for providing fun, family activities and themed weekends with Yogi Bear™, Boo Boo™ and Cindy Bear™ that include everything from crafts and games to wagon rides and special themed events.

For example, the park will celebrate Father’s Day with a “Death by Chocolate” weekend with candy bar bingo, chocolate pudding wrestling and Oreo stacking contests. Wine tasting and live music will also be provided in the evening.

July 14-16 will be a “Christmas in July” weekend with tree decorating, ornament crafts, a campsite decorating contest, Christmas caroling wagon rides and Karaoke, while the weekend of Aug. 11-13 will be a “Water Warriors Weekend” with water gun wars, water balloon games and a wet and wild wagon ride. The weekend of Aug. 25-27 will be a “Luau Weekend” with a Hula Hoop contest, lei crafts, a limbo contest and a pineapple ring toss competition.
